dream up a plan?

"A goal without a plan is only a dream."

I read this quote somewhere at the beginning of the year. I realized that I have been mostly... a dreamer. This year, it will be my mantra.

Sure, I've accomplished many things in the past, but why is it that I have had the same New Year Resolution for the past 3 years? I guess it's because  I had no plan in place, just a vague idea.

This year, I have a plan. I have a plan to develop a plan. That's right, I'm a dreamer with a plan to develop a plan.

You know what is the most interesting thing about this whole must-develop-a-plan-goal? That I stayed up last night until 1:00 am developing my plan. I sat down and grabbed my pen. Then, I saw my new watercolors...

 Things to do today:

 • develop a plan.

  1. Yay for new watercolors. Yay for three years of worn out resolutions coming to fruition in A PLAN. Yay for how awesomely engaging the endpages of your journal came out. And even yay for staying up till 1:00 am working on those plans.
I'm a dreamer too, Maite. I believe it's what sets our creative minds apart. We know dreaming can be a great thing (I have already journaled in my OTHER journal this morning about ideas dreamed up last night). But it's frustrating when we dream and dream and don't finally get there. I totally get that.
Here's to dreaming together on paper this year, and to holding your dreams (and plans) in my hand.

    I cannot wait.
